The continuing Covid-19 pandemic means that, regrettably, the 10th SSCLE International Conference, will have to be postponed for a further year to summer 2022.
The SSCLE is pleased to announce, however, an online conference dedicated to non-established scholars on Wednesday 30 June and Thursday 1 July 2021. Proposals for 20-minute papers or for three-paper sessions are welcome from current PhD students, early career researchers or recent PhD graduates not yet in permanent/full-time employment. There will also be limited space available for roundtable sessions.
A keynote address will be delivered by Professor Nicholas Paul (Fordham University.)
Themes could include, but are not limited to:
Paper proposals should consist of an approximately 250-word abstract and brief biographical note. Session proposals should include a session abstract and a title and brief abstract for each participant's paper. Round table proposals should include an abstract and the names and affiliations of the participants.
If you already had a paper or session accepted for the postponed 2020 conference, you may opt to give the same paper at the online conference. In this case, we ask that you resend the title and abstract for the sake of administrative convenience. You may, however, prefer to reserve it for the rescheduled 2022 conference. Speaking at the online conference will not restrict your opportunity to speak in 2022.
The conference will be held via Zoom on successive afternoons/evenings at times scheduled to ensure maximum participation across different time zones. Registration is free, but booking via Eventbrite is essential.
